Transition

At every point in the human journey we find that we have to let go in order to move forward; and letting go means dying a little. In the process we are being created anew, awakened afresh to the source of our being.

  1. Amy,

I just came across your blog and think that is a beautiful story. As a waiting adoptive parent, all I want it to continue to have hope that our family will grow one day. Thank you for giving me hope, for sharing your story, for reminding me to never, ever give up. Your family is beautiful.
    Thank you,
    Dana

  2. "Letting go means dying a little." So, so true. We were blessed to adopt our daughter 3 years ago, and it went as smoothly as it could possibly go. With this second attempt, we are meeting nothing but obstacles from our agency. After much soul-searching and praying, I feel that God may well be telling us to go a different way, and we are considering private adoption and even foster adoption (more likely). Even though we haven't even been able to start the home study yet, it still feels like a death. Death of this dream for a newborn, death of this dream for our second adoption to be like our first. It is hard, but I know we must let go in order to move forward. Thank you.
